Parents, do you want your child wasting away his or her summer sleeping until when? Or numbing his mind playing video games??

The perfect solution to eliminating these time wasters is the Oakleigh Forest Community Pool's swim team. Get your child to join the Piranhas Swim Team. The team is a charter member of the East Severna Park Swim League's summer season. Swimmers practice all week and compete in meets on Saturdays.

What do kids get from the swim team? A great way to keep healthy, a perfect outlet for the competitive spirit, and the thrill of being part of the team. And parents? You get to work the snack bar, time races, make pounds of taco meat, and maybe even walk hundreds of miles in the sweltering heat and excitement of the Severna Park Fourth of July Parade.

It's a win-win opportunity! The team is coming off a great 2010 season and expects a strong season again this year. To be a member of the Piranhas, children must be members of the pool and be able to swim an unassisted lap. Swim Team memories are the kind that cannot be replaced. Don't miss it!!
